It really gave me a taste of the French culture. I cannot wait to go back and try their dinner options they let us know that renovations would happen starting on June 3rd! “ I tried this place out in a whim and it was delightful. This is now a French restaurant. The owner was very informative and helpful as it was my first visit. The restaurant as it is decorated isn't much to look at but word has it they will be doing a renovation and it will be to the owners liking and style when complete. I had the savory crepe, ham egg and cheese. It was freshly made and tasted great. The ham and cheese were equally balanced with the buckwheat crepe. The egg was sunny side up directly in the middle. Very good and I will go back to try the sweet crepes. ”

“ Hey hey check out this cute little, local French Bistro! Okay full disclosure-they will be closing the beginning of June for a short 2 month remodel! Then you gotta give them a try! The Chef has recently acquired this spot from a long time business and has some great new plans! The food today was simple yet delicious and fairly priced! We had two French Classics and were very happy with both the Croque Monsier and the Croque Madame. With plans to remodel and expand the dining area and add a bar I expect things to go well! The Owners are super friendly and the place is very quaint! Personally I am excited to have a place we can come in and enjoy a bottle of wine and some classic French dishes like Beef Bourgonoine and Coc a Vin. Hope they add a Baked Brie to the menu, yum yum! Keep your eyes open for the reopening and help support another great local small business! ”

“ We've been meaning to go here for sometime now, Because honestly we live right down the street. What a fantastic hidden gem! It reminded me of a neighborhood deli in New York (where I grew up). We were quickly greeted and grabbed a table. While we looked over the menu we listened as the owners (I'm guessing they were the owners) say goodbye to everyone that was leaving and they knew everyone's name! So there must be a lot of regular customers (and after you try the food you'll know why). I ordered the grilled corned beef and Swiss which was accompanied with a side of house made thousand island dressing and a choice of pasta or potato salad. The sandwich was phenomenal, perfectly grilled.. a great combination of flavors and textures .. and that dressing was a perfect accompaniment. But wait there's more.. when they bring your check they also bring a small little complimentary dessert. I have a good feeling we'll become regular customers too. ”

“ How can you not like a locally-owned "mom and pop" business where the owner is working their tail off every day? That is Fanny's in a nutshell. We don't eat here enough. That's going to change! We stopped by for lunch last week. My wife got a half-Chicken Caesars Salad which was large enough for her at noon. I got the Philly Steak Sandwich which had 100% lean great tasting beef on a wonderful steak roll. My chosen side was possibly the best-tasting potato salad I have ever had. A wonderful homemade dish that had bacon and celery while not drowning in mayo. The service is quick and friendly. We received continuous soda refills from our server. You almost feel like you are having a bite to eat at a close friend's house. We also got a complimentary couple of their brownie bites, m-m-m good! There are a couple of special things about Fanny's: they have box lunches and to-go dinners from 5-7 pm. We haven't tried either one yet, but I guarantee we will soon! All of Fanny's pricing is very reasonable. Their dining room is open for dining-in from 10-5 Mon-Fri. Fanny's is not an easy locale to spot being in a strip of buildings along Pecos Rd a little north of the 215 in Henderson. It's a small restaurant that supports the area kids such as in sports team sponsorship and posting elementary kids' drawings on their walls. ”

“ Wow! Was not expecting this place to be so good. Stopped in today for a late lunch and as a self/proclaimed cutlet connoisseur, went with the #1 cutlet sandwich and was not disappointed. I grew up on cutlets on the east coast, have had cutlets in Italy and even make my own cutlets and let me tell you, this thing was perfection. Perfectly seasoned, great thinness, juicy, crispy edges...the good stuff. The macaroni and potato salads were fantastic as well. Struck up a conversation with the owner Nick and he was very friendly and you could tell he was passionate about his food. Support local businesses and check this place out! ”

“ I'm so excited to have finally tried Fanny's Bistro & Deli! The restaurant is located in a strip mall on Pecos and Wigwam. It is simply decorated, very clean, and the staff are very welcoming. Their menu offerings include: salads, hot and cold sandwiches, soup, pastas, quiche, and chicken dishes (plus daily specials). For my first visit, I tried the following: Meatball Hero (hot sandwich with housemade meatballs, marinara, mozzarella on a soft roll). Italian Hero (cold sandwich with salami, capicola, pepperoni, provolone, roasted red peppers on a soft roll). The meatballs are tender and delicious and the deli meats are a perfect combination of flavors. The sandwiches come with a side pasta salad and/or potato salad (you can try one or both!). I also got a sample of their housemade sausage which I very much enjoyed and would order as a sandwich or with pasta. I ended my meal with a sample of brownie bites (who would not like that?). So good! I can't wait to try their other items. I will definitely be back soon. ”
